WHERE TO VISIT
KOREA’S TOP THREE DESTINATIONS OUTSIDE OF SEOUL
Busan: A City Break by the Beach
Busan is Korea’s second city, located in the far south of the country but reachable in just 2.5 hours from Seoul by high-speed train. Whilst the city has its own unmissable cultural attractions, it also boasts stunning beaches and a vibrant nightlife, and is best enjoyed at a relaxed pace as the ultimate laid-back leisure destination.
Gyeongju: Korea’s Museum Without Walls
Located in the Southwest of Korea – and conveniently on the KTX high-speed train line from Seoul to Busan – Gyeongju combines a slightly rural, small-town feel with an abundance of history from Korea’s ancient Silla Dynasty. The city’s outdoor heritage sites, including royal tombs, temples and palaces, give it the nickname ‘Museum Without Walls’.
Jeju Island: UNESCO Natural Heritage
Jeju is a volcanic island recognized for its unique landscape and biodiversity, and designated a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2007. The island boasts unrivalled natural scenery, a rich traditional culture and a sense of fun – with activities ranging from visits to cute cafes and museums to cycling, surfing and even horse-riding.
